Port Districts are responsible for local economic development.
Port Commissioners set objectives, policies and Port direction. For twenty years I have worked diligently on community economic development and quality of life infrastructure, specifically in Kennewick. I have worked with local community visionaries, as well as internationally known professionals in the areas of economic development and community revitalization. As a small business owner, I know how to lead and motivate employees, carefully planning for the future with flexibility to adjust to ever changing business climates.

    My background includes:
  • President, Downtown Kennewick Association for 5 years, board member for 10 years
  • Served since 1992 in unpaid positions promoting economic development and revitalization in downtown Kennewick and Columbia Drive
  • Worked with Urban Design Studios (Irvine, CA) developing downtown Kennewick comprehensive plan
  • Chaired Bridge to Bridge/River to Railroad project, resulting in commendation by North Carolina State University
  • Advisor to economic development programs in Arizona, Texas, Oregon, Spokane
  • Graduate Whitman College, Economics
  • Army Lieutenant Colonel (ret)
  • Army Command/General Staff College graduate
  • Owner Esprit Graphic Communications

I am confident with my experience, leadership skills, and passion, I have the ability to serve you well as port commissioner.
